Insurance Asset Risk's 2020 EMEA conference starts today with more information on how to join here.
This years' annual conference is taking place online, like most events this year, and the agenda for the first day promises engaging discussions.
The first panel, sponsored by Conning, will look at key investment risks and strategic portfolio positioning, with insights into how investment heads have managed the troubled 2020 waters. Panellists include Ageas's chief investment officer Wim Vermeir, financial risk directors at Aviva, Anna Vita, and Phoenix group, Roshan Lachman, and head of group ALM/SAA at Generali, Antonio Tedesco.
Although the topic of sustainability has faded from the spotlight as stakeholders navigate the pandemic, it hasn't gone away, and Scor's head of group investment risk and sustainability will deliver a keynote speech on how insurers can include climate change in investment decisions.
The second panel of the day, sponsored by Aviva Investors, will look at the coming month and where insurers can find investment opportunities. Panellists including Cattolica CIO, Massimo di Tria, Post Vita head of ALM and asset allocation, Irene Carella, and L&G Capital head of capital management, James Kenney, who will discuss the latest exotic assets that have caught their eyes.
Finally, the day will end with a number of discussion groups covering the themes discussed in the first day's session, where conference delegates will be able to join panellists in video calls to ask questions and discuss and debate their views.
