Fubon Life makes offer for Tussauds

Taiwanese insurer Fubon Life is reported to have offered close to £330m ($500m) for the building in Marylebone, London, which houses the Madame Tussauds waxworks museum.

It was reported in February that the owner of the building, Secure Income Reit, was seeking over £300m for the freehold of the property, which is leased to Merlin Entertainments.

Last November Fubon Life bought One Carter Lane, an office block near St Paul's Cathedral, from LondonMetric Property for £138.8m (see Analysis today, Asian insurers step up European real estate investments).
