Free webinar: investing in trade finance for insurers

After over a year of unprecedented disruptions and a near standstill of movements of people and goods, trade will be a major driver of economic recovery. For lenders, opportunities will abound in trade finance – but insurers seem quite coy to dip their toes in those assets.

Chief investment officers are not always comfortable with the risk/return profile of the asset class. Recent scandals which have crushed the asset class reputation have not helped its appeal. Yet some insurers have invested, and asset managers are keen to highlight trade finance postives characteristic.

Join the next Insurance Asset Risk webinar, supported by Allianz GI, to explore the intricacies of trade finance assets and how to overcome some of the challenges they pose.

The webinar is free to attend and taking place at 3pm GMT today (2nd November 2021), register here.

Speakers:

  • Tom Sumpster, head of private debt direct origination, Phoenix Group
