Join us on 9 February for a webinar on the appetite among Asian insurers for illiquid investments.
Three underwriters and an asset manager will discuss illiquid asset classes, spanning from infrastructure to debt and private equity, loans and property.
Such classes often offer superior returns than more 'traditional' investments that insurers buy, but they bring risks as well.
As insurers seek them nonetheless, panellists will discuss what they want to buy, what risks they are mindful of, the question of availability and sourcing them, whether asset pools in Asia, or elsewhere are preferred, and whether the 'illiquidity' premium is all that is seems.
The panel will also discuss whether Beijing's Belt & Road initiative will open up the door to more illiquid investments – and whether the underwriters are interested in buying in.
Join us on the 9th and ask our panellists your questions:
- Jethro Goodchild, CIO, FWD Life Insurance Company
- Richard Chan, HK and Asia Head of ALM and Investment Monitoring, Axa Hong Kong
- Chun-Yen Liu, Chief Investment Officer, AIA Singapore
- Chloe Tan, Insurance Strategy & Advisory-AsiaPacific, DWS
