Shawn Lytle will join Delaware Investments in June as president, succeeding the retiring Patrick Coyne.

The Philadelphia-based subsidiary of Macquarie Group announced the departure of Coyne in February, but did not name his replacement at that time (IAR, 20 February, Delaware announces executive changes).

Lytle has been with UBS Global Asset Management for 13 years, where he is now head of Americas. He joined the company in 2002 as a global portfolio manager and then served as deputy global head of equities.

Lytle will also assume Coyne's responsibilities as regional head of Macquarie Investment Management for North America. Coyne will remain at Delaware Investments until the end of September to assist in the handover.

Total assets under management of Delaware Investments came to more than $185bn, as of the end of 2014. Macquarie Group's assets under management totalled $372bn as of 30 September 2014.
