Varma has invested €230m ($280m) in State Street Global Advisors’ sustainable climate corporate bond funds, and has also become a seed investor in the new index funds.
The funds invest in European and US corporate bonds and have 70% lower carbons emissions compared to the benchmark index at launch, prioritising investments in green bonds and companies that are well prepared for the transition to a low-carbon economy.
