Varma, a Finnish insurer, has appointed Sampsa Ratia as director of real estate investments, effective 16 August.
He has previously worked for Avant, Lease Green, Corbel and Aberdeen.
Ilkka Tomperi, the former director, is moving on to a new position at YIT, an urban developer and construction company.
