Sumitomo invests ¥5.4bn in decarbonisation bond

Sumitomo Life Insurance Company invested ¥5.4bn ($48m) in a decarbonisation bond issued by InterAmerican Investment Corporation, a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group.

With a maturity of 10 years, the bond will be used for companies and projects that support the IDB Group Climate Change Action Plan and the decarbonization in Latin America and the Caribbean.
