Sompo has invested an undisclosed amount into MPower Partners Fund, Japan's first environmental, social and governance (ESG) focused venture capital fund that aims to support entrepreneurs who seek to solve social issues through the power of technology, and to promote sustainable growth by incorporating ESG into their strategies.
It follows Dai-ichi Life’s investment in the same fund earlier this month. The fund has a target size of $150m.
