MEAG acquires US forest the size of Ibiza

MEAG has acquired 60,000 hectares of pine forests in the south of the US, the size of the island of Ibiza, for a middle triple-digit million US dollar figure.

The investments into forestry is a way of diversifying portfolios, the asset manager said, adding that sustainably managed forests have the potential to deliver positive impacts on different environmental, social and governance aspects.

Recently, MEAG also acquired a forest in New Zealand as part of building its timberland portfolio.
