Groupama has issued its first green bonds with a principal amount of €500m ($594m) under the insurer’s newly established Green Bond Framework.
The net proceeds of the notes will be used to finance eligible green projects, including green buildings, renewable energy, clean transportation, and energy efficiency. The bonds mature in 2028 and have an annual coupon of 0.75%.
