Beazley chief executive (CEO) Andrew Horton has been appointed group CEO of QBE Insurance Group in Australia, effective 1 September.
He will remain with the British insurer until 31 March.
At QBE, Horton will replace Richard Pryce who has been acting as interim group CEO since last September after CEO Patrick Regan was found to have fallen short of the Australian insurer's ethics and conduct standards.
Horton will be replaced by Adrian Cox, who is currently the chief underwriting officer. Cox has been at Beazley for 20 years, having been a board member since 2010.
