Barings, the asset manager of MassMutual, was the sole lender on a senior secured credit loan to support Inflexion’s, a UK mid-market private equity firm, reinvestment in the British Engineering Services Group (BES), for an undisclosed sum.
BES is an engineering testing, inspection, and consulting services specialist.
“In the current market environment, we remain focused on opportunities to invest in high-quality companies backed by top-tier sponsors, which BES certainly represents,” Matt Carty, a director in Barings’ European private finance group, said.
