Hamilton Lane, 2024's alternatives manager of the year, recently formed a dedicated insurance solutions team to meet the growing demand for private markets investments, while also developing private market investment solutions that meet the specific objectives of their insurance clients.

The company, which has over $920m in assets under management and supervision, has built up its product solutions offering to include direct equity, direct credit, secondaries, infrastructure, impact, venture, emerging manager and evergreen funds, and is continuing to add bespoke capital-efficient vehicles for insurance clients, to access the most attractive areas of private markets.

Hamilton Lane has also recently launched a series of evergreen funds across private credit and private equity to make investing in private markets easier for its clients.

The funds help investors overcome the typical barriers to entry such as illiquidity, high minimum investments, and irregular capital calls.

The emergence of the company's evergreen funds, which are structured as semi-liquid, open-ended vehicles, has made private markets investing much more accessible for its clients.
